What you probably want to know before you call
How long does it take to install a new system?
Most residential heat pump and furnace installations are a one day job. A more complicated one, like adding ductwork or converting from oil, can run into a second day. We tell you which it is before you agree to anything, not on the morning we show up.
What does a new system cost?
It depends on the size of the house and what is there now, which is why nobody in this market will publish a number. Ask us and we will tell you where you land before you commit to anything.
Do you offer utility rebates?
Yes. Washington has several programs running right now, including up to $4,000 back on converting from gas to an electric heat pump and up to $4,000 on replacing an oil furnace. Eligibility is approved at the contractor level, so it is worth asking us before you assume you do not qualify.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Estimates and quotes are free, always. There is no trip charge and no diagnostic fee to have us come out and price a replacement.
What is the $5,000 rule for HVAC?
It is a rule of thumb people use to decide between repairing and replacing: multiply the age of the system in years by the repair quote, and if the number comes out over $5,000 you are usually better off replacing it. It is rough, and it ignores what your energy bills are doing, but it is a fair starting point. Ask us and we will price both and give you the two numbers.
